Contemporary Dance Performance by the Trisha Brown Dance Company

Orpheum Performing Arts Center

The internationally acclaimed Trisha Brown Dance Company is bringing world-class contemporary dance to the Great Northern Catskills at the Catskill Mountain Foundation’s Orpheum Performing Arts Center in Tannersville. Presented in partnership with Works & Process at the Guggenheim, this special performance features a new work by company member and choreographer Burr Johnson. Inspired by the Trisha Brown archive, Johnson reimagines recovered movement materials into a fresh contemporary work exploring memory, lineage, and artistic transformation. The evening also includes excerpts from Trisha Brown’s celebrated repertory, offering audiences a unique opportunity to experience the groundbreaking choreography that helped shape modern dance. Community dance classes will also be offered as part of the residency, further connecting artists and audiences through movement. Tickets start at $9.31.
