Doctorow Center for the Arts

The Doctorow Center offers amazing performances all year-round from live music and music education programs, movie showings, live music, puppetry, theater, and more!

This multi-arts complex houses the Mountain Cinema, a three-screen movie theater, showing the latest in Hollywood and Independent movies are shown weekly year-round and the Evelyn Weisberg Concert Hall, a 150-seat performance space hosting chamber music, folk/pop music, puppetry, and theater.

The Doctorow Center also houses the Piano Performance Museum, home to the unique Steven E Greenstein collection of historic pianos from the 18th to the 20th centuries.

The Doctorow Center is the home of the Catskill Mountain Foundation, with programming and administrative offices located in the building.

During the summer months, the Catskill Mountain Foundation hosts a variety of music education and performance programs at the Doctorow Center, with many events free and open to the public. Come share the music and love of learning with these talented students.

The Sunshine Boys, by Neil Simon

Join us at the Doctorow Center for the Arts for Neil Simon’s classic comedy, The Sunshine Boys! Al Lewis and Willy Clark, a feuding pair of vaudeville comedians who performed together for 47 years, are brought back together when Clark’s nephew proposes a TV special celebrating the history of comedy. As old rivalries resurface and the one-liners fly, the two must decide whether they can put their differences aside long enough to collect one last paycheck. Starring Michael McDonald as Al Lewis and Gary Falk as Willy Clark.

Join the Twelfth Night Ensemble, directed by David Belkovski and Rachell Ellen Wong, with fortepiano soloist Yi-heng Yang for Birds of a Feather, a joyful program celebrating the wit and playfulness of classical music inspired by birds. Hear Haydn’s “Chicken” Symphony No. 83, nicknamed for its clucking second subject, alongside Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 17, featuring a theme inspired by his beloved pet starling.
