Athens Cultural Center
The Athens Cultural Center has been a gathering place for local arts, classes, film, and community happenings since 2005. ACC offers a rich variety of free and paid classes for all art enthusiasts. Exhibitions are presented throughout the year, along with special events. Housed in a former 1870s storefront, ACC is steps away from the Hudson River. Every December, ACC presents their signature authentic Victorian Stroll.

Qigong Class

Join Carl Thomsen and Barbara Schofield Thomsen for Saturday morning Qigong, an ancient Chinese practice that combines gentle movement, breathwork, and mindful focus to support overall well-being. Suitable for mature adults and those with limited mobility, the practice can be done seated or standing and helps improve balance and coordination. Each class concludes with an optional 15-minute meditation for relaxation and mindfulness.

Join us for Open Studio sessions! Bring your supplies and a project, pull up a chair, and create alongside fellow artists. Water-based media, fiber arts, writing, collage, and more are welcome. Sliding-scale admission: $5–$15 at the door Open to all ages; children must be accompanied by an adult. Please note: Oil paints and spray materials are not permitted in the building.
