Athens Cultural Center
The Athens Cultural Center has been a gathering place for local arts, classes, film, and community happenings since 2005. ACC offers a rich variety of free and paid classes for all art enthusiasts. Exhibitions are presented throughout the year, along with special events. Housed in a former 1870s storefront, ACC is steps away from the Hudson River. Every December, ACC presents their signature authentic Victorian Stroll.

Drum Circle
Athens Cultural Center, 24 Second Street
Join us on the fourth Thursday of each month to explore the power of drumming to move, connect, and transform. More than simply hearing or playing rhythms, a drum circle is a shared vibrational experience that can be energizing, grounding, healing, and fun. No experience is necessary, and everyone is welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring a hand drum, such as a frame drum, bongo, or similar percussion instrument. A limited number of drums are available upon request. Bring your supplies and a project to work on, pull up a chair, and share a table as you create alongside others. Water-based media, fiber arts, writing, collage, and more are welcome. Please note that oil paints and spray materials are not permitted in the building. Fourth Sundays, 1–3 p.m.; April–October Sliding-scale admission at the door: $5–$15. Open to all ages; children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is encouraged; walk-ins are welcome!
